Koala Woman Says

The Hume Highway cuts through this large electorate north of Melbourne, there are scattered koala populations on the fringes at Mt Macedon, however this population is in long-term decline because of fires and urban development. In the Kinglake National Park east of Kilmore there were Koalas, however this population would have been almost wiped out in the 2009 bushfires. There are regular sightings around the Sugarloaf Reservoir just west of Yarra Glen.
