Quinlans Winter Bird Survey

19 September 2018 –

Did you know that a bird survey is undertaken four times a year at Quinlans? Thanks to Cooloola Nature for their commitment towards the work of AKF!

We were excited to view the results from the most recent survey. Six new bird species were spotted. The overall total of bird species spotted at Quinlans is now 78!

Here is a picture of the Satin Bowerbird which was one of the new birds sighted at Quinlans. This was very exciting for the teams at AKF and Cooloola Nature! This bird and the forest would be protected by the Koala Protection Act.

Saving Koala habitat saves this beautiful bird too. Have you thought of planting a tree?
