Lend a Finger or Two for Save the Koala Month!

19 August 2014 –

We are all very excited (and busy) here at the AKF!  This is because September is coming up, which is Save the Koala Month.  This is our annual awareness and fundraising campaign, which we have been running since 1988. To protect the Koala we need funding. We receive no financial help from the government, which is the way we like it. This means we can speak freely for Koalas and do what’s best for them.

We are so grateful for any donation or contribution, because without your support we would not be able to function as an organisation.

This year we have a special addition to Save the Koala Month: finger puppets! They are just adorable.  They come in a ‘Boy’ or ‘Girl’ option and are only $2.00 each. We would love for you to order a couple and share with your friends and family.

There are lots of other ways to take part as well. We encourage you to create your own fundraising event, big or small. You could host a backyard BBQ with a gold coin donation for entry, or bake some treats for a bake sale. Tell us what you are doing on our Facebook and inspire others to help.

AKF merchandise, including stickers, temporary tattoos and wristbands are also available for you to order and sell to your friends and neighbours. Donation boxes are also available to be placed in local communities.

Everything little thing that you do for the AKF, we appreciate. Here’s to Koalas!
