Koala Woman Says

This electorate lies between the Adelaide Hills and the city and Koalas are mostly seen in the suburbs bordering the Hills for example Waterfall Gully, Rosslyn Park and Highbury. The Princes Highway goes through Waterfall Gully, so there are lots of vehicle strikes in that area. Koalas are also seen in other suburbs where additional threats such as dog attack and disease are the basis of many other Koala sighting reports. Healthy Koalas are generally reported from roadsides, but they might well fall victim to the next car that comes along. Most vehicle strikes occur at night so you might ask “is there enough streetlighting?” Probably not.
