Mr Darcy's Diary

Hi everyone! I am planning to invite all the neighbourhood dogs in for Save the Koala Day for a fundraiser (I don’t really know what that means actually), but Mum said it will be fun and that we can help save the Koala. That is my job after all. Charlie is coming, Miss Bennett too. You can help for Save The Koala Month too by clicking here. Over and out (that is Koala Army talk)
Well hello, and guess what... this Maremma dog looks EXACTLY like Miss Bennett. Well, Miss Bennett isn’t actually all Maremma, her mother was a Golden Retriever (like me!) and her Dad was a HUGE Maremma. Sometimes people can be scared of dogs like Miss Bennett, but gosh they do a great job looking after things. Mum says Miss Bennett loves to stay home (which is sort of good because I get to go to...
Hi everyone, The Koala Woman (Mum!) and Matilda (Lulu!) are back from the campaign road. They learned a lot and are planning next steps for working with Australia’s new government and its new environment minister. Stay tuned for more news! Love, Darcy
Charlie came back from Quinlans FILTHY. He went on a bush walk and jumped in a pond! Mum was a little bit mad, but not really. She said that there was a memorial for our friend Dr. John there. She said it's important to honour our friends who are no longer with us.
Mum tells me I am a really good dog, and that I am a role model for Charlie (he needs one) and for all other dogs in Australia. This is because I know to never ever hurt a Koala, or any other wildlife. Mum also tells me that there are lots of dogs out there that hurt Koalas all the time. Some of these dogs that hurt Koalas have Mums and Dads like me and Charlie and Miss Bennett, but lots of them...
Guess where I have been? Oh my goodness it was so much fun and I even took Charlie. There is this really nice guy called Neil who slashes our front paddock and Mum let me run ahead of the car (Charlie wasn't allowed by the way because it can be DANGEROUS) and it had just been mowed so I was able to run and jump with JOY! Quinlans is so beautiful. We saw an Azure Kingfisher, Black Cockatoos and a...
Look who is going to work with Mum! Doesn't he look like me? I, however have never put my dirty paws on the back of Mum's seats, but I do hear that he is doing a great job in the Save the Koala Retail Store at Mum's work. Charlie is very cheeky at the moment and Mum said I am being very, very responsible teaching him the rules at home. Clare and Margot work with him at work in the shop . Miss...
Hi all, Charlie isn't at home and Mum said when she left this morning that "Charlie had to work in our Save the Koala Shop " Mum said there is a new royal baby coming and we have to be ready. But you know I have a feeling that he might be sleeping on the job (or worse still) in Mum's office. So, make sure you are getting ready for Save the Koala Month. That is my job to promote that and like all...
I've heard Mum and some other humans talking about 'wild dogs' recently. Mum said they're different to Dingoes. Dingoes are 'an important part of the ecosystem', whatever that means. Some of these wild dogs are hurting humans, pet dogs (like me!), and even Koalas. See here . If only the owners of dogs did not let them stray and go off into the bush. Imagine being a wild dog! I feel very lucky to...
Charlie has been going places with Mum and I have been left behind. Gee, the whole problem with leadership is that you get so much responsibility. Mum said because I am a big dog now I have to be a great leader to Miss Bennett and Charlie, but I think it can get quite boring. Charlie playing with his friends Bandi and Buster I have a feeling Charlie went to Quinlans without me actually. Not sure...
