Koala Woman Says

The only reliable Koala record is from 1937 in Castle Hill on the bank of Cattai Creek, and perhaps another three in Cumberland State Forest in West Pennant Hills (in the last 10 years). We think these three are a bit dodgy, since this Forest has no connectivity to any other habitat and is the headquarters of the NSW Forestry Corporation. Further north, Kellyville was mainly developed in the late 1800s.More recent development has been characterised as “big houses on small blocks”, there is no room for trees in this scenario. The only habitat left id along stream reserves, while these provide connectivity, there is no habitat to connect.
