Koala Woman Says
This electorate includes Magnetic Island off the coast of Townsville; the island has just about all of the Koalas in this electorate, and 30% of the Island was burnt in the summer of 2019-2020. There are very few sightings on the mainland, there might be a few Koalas on the outskirts of Townsville and some more in the Hervey Range area to the west but it is hard to understand why the numbers are so low when this electorate has some of the best habitat of any Queensland electorate.
