Koala Woman Says

People in this electorate (which includes Toowoomba and Oakey) would be shocked to think these few remaining koalas can survive when 85% of the habitat is already gone but the population seems to be stable. Is it possible to increase the population? Probably, if strategic tree planting was implemented using our Koala Habitat Atlas. The town of Meringandan just north of Toowoomba seems to be the hotspot in this electorate, there are a few here making use of the patches of bush around the Cooby Dam. This habitat is highly fragmented so cars and dogs take their toll here too.
