KOALA WOMAN SAYS

There have been a few sightings in the St Georges Basin area since 2000, some of these are close to the Princes Highway so are probably road kills. The main population appears to be at Touga in a very remote corner of Morton National Park east of Marulan. If there is ever a wildfire here (as there was in 2002 which burnt over 60,000 hectares), there is nowhere for these Koalas to go.
