Hey recruits!
Wow, what a year it’s been. The holiday season is upon us all, and while the team at Koala HQ are preparing to wind down for the year, I wanted to reflect on what an exciting year we’ve had!
I wouldn’t be able to look back at 2024 without firstly mentioning the Koala Army’s March for Creatures Great and Small. Boy, I’m still thinking about it! It meant so much to me to meet you all and see you marching alongside me and my bush mates in Canberra on September 1st. I’m told a whole lot of people joined in online as well to help spread the word! I’d sincerely like to thank everyone who got involved this year, and also to Dr. Bob Brown, Senator David Pocock and our very own Commander-in-Chief Deborah Tabart OAM for being a voice to the voiceless. Us animals in the bush have a hard time speaking up for ourselves and our homes, so it means a lot that you all raised your voices and are now starting to be listened to!
Speaking of creatures great and small, I was thrilled to get to introduce you to a few good mates of mine through my Urban and Friends series this year! Some of them were a little shy in front of the camera at first (not Clive, he just loves the spotlight!) but quickly saw the importance of sharing their stories for you all. If you still haven’t caught up with them, you can watch the videos below.
Since that series has come out, so many of my friends are asking to be featured! Keep a close eye out next year, I might just introduce you to a few more…
Oh also, the AKF team want me to remind you…
