Koala chief to attend special preview screening at Tamworth

7 March 2017 –

Australian Koala Foundation CEO Deborah Tabart OAM will be in Tamworth on Thursday 16 March for a special preview screening of the documentary Cultivating Murder. The documentary, by Film Projects, recounts the murder of Glen Turner, an officer from the Office of Environment and Heritage, who had been investigating illegal land-clearing near Moree in 2014. Ian Turnbull, a wealthy farmer from the area who had been previously found guilty of illegal land clearing, some of which was prime Koala habitat, was convicted of Mr Turner’s murder and received a 35-year prison sentence.
