Before the Flood

24 November 2016 –

In the lead up to the United States’ presidential election, National Geographic released a film with Leonardo di Caprio titled Before The Flood, which was available to view for free on YouTube for a limited timeThe documentary became a worldwide phenomenon and has left its impact with the Australian Koala Foundation as well. Deborah Tabart OAM has resolved to eat even less meat and to avoid palm oil products as much as possible, in addition to not buying a single new item of clothing for a year.

Did you watch the film and did it make an impression on you as well?

The emphasis on carbon in the film reminded us of the importance of our tree planting and ecosystem restoration which is ongoing at our Quinlan’s property in the Australian bush. Deborah recently returned there to take part in the effort and acknowledge our supporters.
