A Little Bit of Good News

6 April 2022 –

Hello Koala Lovers,

I was very pleased to be involved in this news story and I really would encourage you to go to the link to see some gorgeous wild Koalas and those who protect them in western New South Wales.

It is thrilling that Koalas have returned to the area with both an introduction and also with the protection of a lot of habitat as our maps show.

You will also read and see that the current Environment Minister says that we do not need a Koala Protection Act and I just wonder how she can take that view when she has just had to list them as Endangered (up from Vulnerable) and that the Koala Recovery Plan is now nearly 10 years in the making.

As you know there is an election and I am hoping the new Environment Minister will understand that the Koala Protection Act is a “must” and if you want to know how we can achieve that goal, see the Koala Army, where we explain the process.

Enjoy seeing those gorgeous little faces.

Regards and thanks as always.
