Koala Woman Says

There were a couple of hundred Koalas south of Goodna in a large patch of bush up until about 2000, however this is being eaten away by large residential developments (for example, Augustine Heights) so now there only appears to be about 30 or so. There were some near Jindalee up until about 20 years ago, and we don’t think there are any left around Heathwood on Oxley Creek. The only recent records are near Collingwood Park,

I think this is probably an accurate assessment and various Queensland Governments stand condemned for allowing a large population to be whittled away to this unsustainable number. We are looking at imminent extinction.
