Koala Woman Says

Look at the discrepancy between our figures and our Government’s. And look at the range in the Government’s numbers! Total guesswork.

There have been over 100 sightings reported around of Bathurst in the last 10 years, mostly on farmland with scattered trees which make Koalas much easier to spot. There appears to be a much smaller population in Goobang National Park to the west (near Parkes), the few around Lithgow in the east and a few more around Oberon in the south were likely wiped out in the fires of 2019 – 2020.
